I'm a HerFuture Ambassador
Since September 2026 I am officially an ambassador for HerFuture, the largest female STEM talent platform in the Netherlands.
Since September 2026 I am officially an ambassador for HerFuture, the largest and fastest growing female STEM talent platform in the Netherlands.
I do not take titles for the sake of titles. I said yes because this one comes with work attached: rooms to open, portfolios to sharpen, events to host and eleven years of global tech experience to hand over to the women coming after me.
Officially an ambassador
As of September 2026, my name sits next to the HerFuture logo as an ambassador. It is a role I take literally: showing up, opening rooms and putting eleven years of global tech experience to work for women who are still being told to wait their turn.

What HerFuture is
HerFuture is a career community that helps ambitious female STEM students connect with leading employers, career opportunities and a supportive network. 55,000+ women. An app, real events, and partnerships with the companies and universities shaping tomorrow. Joining is free at app.herfuture.nl.
Women belong in STEM. At every stage. Period.

The gap, in numbers
Around 19 percent of tech roles in the Netherlands are held by women. 22 percent across the EU ICT sector. Half of the women in tech leave the industry by age 35, and only 38 percent of women with computer science degrees stay in the field.
The talent was never missing. The doors were.

The intersections nobody counts
Migrant women in Europe face a documented double disadvantage: in employment, in pay, in recognition. Queer women in tech are barely visible even in the data. You cannot fix what will not be counted.
I am that intersection: a queer migrant woman who built an eleven year global career in tech anyway.
You can't fix what won't be counted.

Why I said yes
Eleven years ago I entered tech as a first generation migrant woman. No roadmap. No role model. No manual. I paid full price for every lesson: in time, in confidence and in energy.
I refuse to let the next generation pay that tuition twice.
I refuse to let the next generation pay that tuition twice.

What I am here to do
Portfolios that open doors before you speak. Clear expectations, set before you enter any room. Supporting and hosting events. Sharing learnings from eleven years and global roles.
Preparation is what turns talent into tenure.

Representation isn't symbolism, it's infrastructure
When a woman sees someone who looks like her holding the door instead of guarding it, she stops asking for permission and starts building. One role model compounds into thousands of careers.
Representation is infrastructure.

Your place in tech is not up for debate
It never was. The events are coming. The room will be ready.
The future of tech is female. I am not just saying it, I am showing up for it.
The future of tech is female, and I am showing up for it.

If you are a woman studying or working in STEM in the Netherlands, join the community for free at app.herfuture.nl and come to the events. If you are an employer who wants that talent in the building, the work starts long before the job posting.
And if you want to talk about portfolios, positioning or getting ready for the room you are about to walk into, my inbox is open.
A shorter version of this also lives on HerFuture and LinkedIn and Instagram.
